LACTOPEEL
A lactic acid peel that exfoliates by dissolving dead surface cells
and leaves the skin renewed and moisturised while balancing and regulating
the PH. Recommended for all skin types including acne and sensitive
skins. For best results more than one treatment is recommended.
LPS PEEL
Made up at a combination of three acids, (lactic, pyruvic and salicylic
acid) it will improve skin texture, smooth the appearance of fine lines,
lighten hyperpigmentation, tighten pores and reduce acne spots.
Best results obtained by more than one treatment.
YOUTH RECOVERY PEEL
This anti-ageing peel is recommended for sun damaged, photo ageing skins.
Combining lactic, glycolic and salicylic acid to dissolve the skin's
surface cells by diminishing corneocyte cohesion, new skin emerges radiant
and hydrated, due to the increases in mucopolysaccharides.
GLYCOLIC 35 - 50%
This powerful glycolic peel achieves rapid results due to its low PH.
Preconditioning homecare is essential and best results are achieved
with more than one treatment.
GREEN PEEL
This is a herbal peeling treatment that has been perfected over 45 years,
tested and proven via European trials.
Made up of a mixture of dried, crushed herbs and plant extracts, it
gently restores your skin's natural glow and gives
it a more even, youthful appearance. Green Peel® is completely free
of synthetic abrasives or harsh chemicals.
A simple massage with herbs, followed by Doctor Schrammek-Drusio's clinically
proven home care, helps to improve
the appearance of your skin within five days. Green Peel® is suitable
for all skin types with the exception of very fragile skin with broken
capillaries.
60 minutes.
HERBAL VITAL TREATMENT
This treatment is a milder version of the Green Peel® utilising
the same mixture of dried and mixed herbs in smaller quantities. It
has the same benefits of rejuvenation without the intense peeling experienced
in the Green Peel®.

Microdermabrasion is a skin rejuvenation procedure
performed primarily on the face, neck, or hands. Abrasion and suction
combine to remove the dead outer layer of skin and repair skin that
is showing the effects of ageing. The vacuum holds the skin to the diamond
head and minimal pressure by the therapist is required as a result.
Some people liken this to 'polishing' the skin.
We prefer to use diamond head microdermabrasion as,
although more time consuming, it is less aggressive, and can be used
on all skin types including sensitive skins and thinner skins. Results
achieved are more consistent and this procedure requires no downtime
and is an ideal lunchtime treatment allowing you to go straight back
to work.
At beingwell Skin & Beauty, we like to follow a microdermabrasion
treatment with a facial, thereby leaving minimal residue on the skin.
We also utilise microdermabrasion in combination with other treatments
such as ALA cream in PDT (photodynamic therapy) and IPL.
For best results, we advise a course of six microdermabrasion treatments.
We offer a special six treatment package. As a follow on home care treatment.
These beautiful products speed healing and dramatically reduce inflammation,
allowing you to achieve your new look at a faster pace.
Ask our staff about microdermabrasion for treating fine lines, wrinkles,
active acne, acne scarring, dry and dehydrated skin, photodamage, stretch
marks, dull lifeless skin, and other blemishes.
If you live with unwanted hair, sun damage, facial
veins, or acne, you may be surprised to find out that these conditions
can all be treated with the same light-based technology. In Australia,
where solar damage to skin is endemic, and unwanted hair is very visible,
our products are the number one workhorse for hair removal and photorejuvenation.
IPL PERMANENT HAIR REDUCTION
If you have unwanted hair on your back, legs, upper lip or other areas,
you may be surprised to find that you can find permanent relief to your
problem through pulsed light hair removal.
Pulsed light treatments are remarkable because they can provide permanent
hair reduction on large body areas with a minimum of discomfort. Pulsed
light is similar to a laser in that it uses an intense beam of light,
but our treatment employs a new technology that removes hair up to ten
times faster than most lasers.
Intense Pulsed Light Systems have the flexibility to provide hair removal
treatments on different types of skin and hair. The systems remove unwanted
hair by delivering a pulse of intense light directly into the hair follicles.
The light is absorbed by the pigment in the follicles and converted
to heat. The heat then loosens the hair and disables the cells responsible
for growing new hair. At beingwell Skin & Beauty, we recommend 6
to 8 treatments for most clients but there are those who may require
additional treatments depending on the thickness of the hair and the
extent of the hair.
Photodynamic therapy is not new but is making a come
back in dermatology / cosmetic medicine. It is a form of combination
treatment used in the treatment of photodamaged skin reducing fine lines
and wrinkles, pre cancerous skin lesions such as keratoses, and moderate
to severe acne. At beingwell Skin & Beauty, we combine microdermabrasion,
followed by ALA cream and finally IPL treatment.
Microdermabrasion prepares the skin to receive the treatment and the
ALA cream is applied with cling film over the skin for approx one hour.
Then, with the application of light, singlet oxygen is released and
this is toxic to abnormal cells and rapidly proliferative cells. The
reason that PDT works against acne is that in acne, the cells have a
high metabolic turnover which attracts the singlet oxygen. The degree
of response depends on the concentration of ALA cream used. Higher concentrations
can cause some redness, discomfort, hypopigmentation, and perhaps some
peeling. We mostly use low dose treatments which achieve good results
without unwanted side effects but higher doses can be used in severe
cases.
Benefits of this treatment include improvement in acne, improved skin
texture, reduced fine lines, reduced pore size, reduced skin oiliness,
and reduced acne related hyperpigmentation or redness. The photorejuvenation
achieved is greater than with IPL alone. The main indications for PDT
are however, acne, pre cancerous skin lesions, and photodamaged skin.
Porphyria cutanea tarda is a relative contra indication for PDT
As we age, our face begins to show the effects
of gravity, sun exposure and years of facial muscle movement such as
smiling, chewing, frowning and squinting. The underlining tissues that
keep our skin looking youthful and plumped up begin to break down often
leaving laugh lines, smile lines, crows feet or facial creases over
the areas where this muscle movement occurs.
Collagen is an important natural component of our skin's structure.
It is also present in our joints, bones and ligaments.
In young skin, collagen is abundant and imparts plumpness to the face
and other areas of the body, such as our hands. As we age, the amount
of collagen in our body decreases, and as a result, wrinkles and creases
begin to appear. Our cheeks become hollow and our upper lip thins.
Injectable soft tissue fillers can help fill these lines and creases,
temporarily restoring a smooth, more youthful appearance. When injected
beneath the skin, dermal fillers plump up creased and sunken areas of
the face; they can also add fullness to the lips. Anti-wrinkle injections
will relax the muscles that cause lines and will keep them relaxed for
approximately four months. This is a highly purified protein that is
extracted from bacteria in the same way Penicillin comes from mould.
It has been widely tested with twelve years of safe and effective use
for hundreds of thousands of patients worldwide for various medical
uses.
